Background
Sparv Embedded AB, founded in 2012 in Linköping, Sweden by Anders Petersson, develops innovative electronics, embedded systems, and software solutions with a focus on meteorological measurement equipment. Originating from Petersson’s early RC aircraft control experiments in 2010, Sparv has grown into a team of 10+ full‑time staff supported by local and global collaborators. Our expertise spans sensor integration, long‑range telemetry, GPS, low‑power platforms, UAV systems, and intuitive desktop and mobile applications. With milestones such as the Windsond system’s debut at the 2012 Hot Air Balloon World Championship and the later introduction of Sparvio for UAV‑based measurements, we continue to refine fast‑response sensors and emphasize data quality through in‑house calibration. Sparv’s mission is to advance environmental measurement technology that empowers researchers, industry, and decision‑makers to make smarter choices for a changing world.
